Spring chicks are here!!!
The new 2009 spring chicks arrived at our studio today. As luck had it, we just had a young lady handy to be photographed. We quickly whipped up a set and took some pictures. After all, we wanted to introduce the spring chicks to you, right away.

C1M hosted lighting class
On Saturday March 14th, 2009, C1M hosted a lighting class for the New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association.
Topics covered were, among others: basic portrait lighting, different lighting styles, posing for portrait photography and putting it all together.

C1M Academy Launches NH-Photography-Classes.com
A while ago, when teaching photography or Photoshop, we started to refer to the classes as C1M Academy. Up until now, the classes were for professional photographers only.
C1M Academy launched a new web site under the domain of www.NH-Photography-Classes.com to bring photography classes, workshops and seminars to photography enthusiasts in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New England in general.
C1M Academy offers 9 classes for photography enthusiasts from beginner to expert and can take you from the first workshop: “Getting to Know Your Camera” all the way to “Advanced Image Manipulation Techniques”. The photography workshops are usually on a Saturday from 10:00 AM to about 4:30 PM and are held at the C1M Studio in Milford, NH. The class schedule can be found on the web site.
In addition to the classes, workshops and seminars for photographers and photography enthusiasts, C1M Academy also offers workshops for professional photographers interested in expanding their professional portfolio. Details are on the web site.

Author, Teacher and Life Coach Gail Jones
Author, Teacher and Life Coach Gail Jones was looking to update her photographs for her web site. On a very snowy Tuesday, we met at her Studio for Crafting Lives and shot some images. Some are portraits, but most were of an interactive nature. In spite of the bad weather outside, we got everything done within half a day.

Happy anniversary!
Happy anniversary Andrea and Ingo!
Andrea and Ingo will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. Congratulations.
They are both from the small village I grew up in, in Germany. They stopped by C1M and had their portrait taken. I was glad to provide them with an image they both liked a lot.

Boys & Girls Club charity portrait
In their effort to raise funds for various endeavours the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley asked for a donation for their annual auction. We donated a family portrait session and photographed a wonderfully nice family last Saturday. Kelly, Brad, Zack and Bekkah granted a glimpse into their family life. Thank you for that. We got beautiful photos that were rich in emotion and connection. See for yourself.

Icestorm hits New Hampshire hard …
On December 11, 2008, from Thursday night into Friday morning New Hampshire was hit by an ice storm that for the most part paralyzed New England. From what I saw, up to 1/4″ of ice covered trees, branches and wires , adding a tremendous weight that forced many trees to topple over. Some got stuck in the power and service lines.
Altough public service crews are working day and night to restore electricity to households, many people are still with out power as I write this. My house is one of the ones still withot power and may continue to be for a week more.
