In Walter, I found someone that I trust and enjoy working with. It was great to find someone that could connect with me to bring out my personality and my confidence that I otherwise haven't been able to capture before in pictures.

When I made my appointment with Walter, he responded with a PDF all about his headshot process. I really liked having all the information up front - that was very professional. It wasn't "just make an appointment with me." He gave a full description of what I could expect and tips for getting the most out of my session.  Normally, I would have just arrived with a blue suit on,  but here was Walter saying, "well, bring options, so we can explore who you are and what colors work for you, and what's appropriate for the framework you need the photo for - whether it's on a website or LinkedIn."

The most important thing Walter did was to talk about the subtleties of posing, and the way people perceive those subtleties in a photo - how it makes them feel, as the audience. I knew why I was being asked to stand or move a certain way. I've had headshots before where the photographer came in and told me how to pose, but it didn't connect with me as to why. So I did it, but I didn't believe it. If you do it because it comes from within, you start to believe it. Then you want to do it, and you understand what you're trying to portray - for example, a head tilt communicates to my audience that I listen well. Learning about those subtleties was really nice. It made me think more about the way I presented myself.

Walter is professional and personable. I appreciated the convenience of making my appointment and his flexibility when I needed to reschedule. I think the value for his pricing is excellent. It's very, very affordable for people who want their headshot done right.
